The E bikes we rented and went trail riding on was very cool! If you have never ridden one I highly recommend it. When renting one pls be advised that the seats are very hard, never use the front break, and bring your own heat mirror to keep track of your people behind you! The bikes preformed as promised the service was superb, I highly recommend this business. I would have given 5 stars if I would have been told not to use the front brake before we left which would have prevented me from going over the handle bars on the trail, and putting seats on rental bikes that are more geared to people who don’t ride everyday. If you are going to tell people to use the front brake you need adjust them so that you can safely use them, not my first time riding on a bike on trails, I have always used both brakes with out going over the handle bars! 8.17.24 Update- went back and rented again two bikes for half the day. The bikes preformed flawlessly, the person who told us about our bikes and got us all set up did a great job, we road out to the Orchard Hill Trail head and spent about 3 hours and road all the trail! It was a blast, the seats were a little softer this year so that was great too. I highly recommend this bike shop for rentals and purchase!

Response from Paddles & Pedals Thanks for the great review! These are high performance Mountain Bikes, the front (and rear) brakes are intended to be very strong on Mountain Bikes and are needed to control speed on the trails. We do not recommend anyone NOT using the front brake, as this is not a controlled way to ride, and causes skidding in the trail which leads to erosion. The saddles are standard mountain bike saddles, if you are needing more comfort on the trail we can happily recommend shorts with a chamois.
